Riders should arrange their own transport to and from the START.
There is no public transport to or from Belmont South.
50km Riders can park a car at Speers Point then take a train from Teralba to Morisset.

Extra carriages on a train to and from Loop the Lake
For the convenience of the participants, the following alterations will be implemented on Sunday 11 March 2012.
Forward Journey
The 0445 hours Central to Newcastle train arriving at Morisset at 0654 hours and Teralba at 0718 hours will have four additional carriages
Return Journey
The 1435 hours Newcastle to Central train arriving at Teralba at 1457 hours and Morisset at 1518 will have four additional carriages
Teralba Rail Station is 1½ kms from the 85km START at Speers Point Park, mostly on cycleway,
There will be no extra trains booked this year but there will be additional carriages added to selected trains as determined by state rail.
Coming by car
For 85km and 50km Loop, use the F3 Freeway, whether from north or south of Lake Macquarie.
For 85km Loop:
Take the TORONTO Exit.
At Toronto lights, turn left. Stay on this road.
At the second roundabout turn right (to Warners Bay)
Drive 300 m to START. Look for LOOP THE LAKE signs.
For 50km Loop:
Take the MORISSET exit.
The Dora Street Carpark is on your right as you drive through the town.
Look for the START table.
For 16km Loop:
Take the Pacific Highway.
START is south of Belmont in foreshore park adjacent to Cold Tea Creek.
Look for the LOOP THE LAKE signs.
