All funds raised through sponsorship of riders or teams and donations will go to the John Hunter Children's Hospital Play Therapy Program.
Funds remaining from entry fees, after expenses have been paid, will also go to the Play Therapy Program and to charities as determined by the Rotary Club of Warners Bay.

- Provides quality care with specialities including cystic fibrosis, diabetes and especially oncology.
- Since 1997, money raised through Loop The Lake has established and maintained a Play Therapy Program staffed by a teacher and volunteers.
This program is now a vital part of the hospital, and often used to assist the child during necessary procedures. The last days of many terminally ill children have been made more complete and more loving by the presence and contribution of the Play Therapy teacher.
